For Aspiring Fashion Designers | Wardrobe Sewists | Garment Sewing Enthusiasts
If you talk to any experienced sewist, as they progress in their sewing, the biggest hurdle that presents a major challenge is learning how to make a sewing pattern fit. Believe me, I have had my fair share of experience with this, and for years have studied and worked to solve this dilemma that blocks my students from enjoying their sewing.
And where I have seen students experience a breakthrough is when they receive the information that is never shared with them about how patterns are designed and sized. When you know the framework for how a pattern is made, then you have the power to change it. And change it you will, my friend.
In this workshop, I am giving you a roadmap to understand and alter a sewing pattern. You need to know this, because the problems that you have with clothes bought in the store will start to show up in your sewing, and it is my intention to save you the time and toil that I know comes with making clothing fit.
This class is an introduction, and you can take it at any level of sewing skill. In this one hour workshop, I’m going to teach:
Don’t let fit make you quit. Knowledge is power here folks, and its better to know the big picture so you can refine the details and have more success with your sewing patterns. I hope you will join me!
